Before and After

CASE DESCRIPTION

Alecia came to my office very distressed due to her loosening teeth.  For teeth to be this loose there is a genetic predisposition.  As you can see in her before photos there is missing bone support and receding gums.  The final shows an excellent result of the completed upper.  This level of care requires that all the little things are completed and examined before the case is even started. Alecia’s completed case shows what is possible with proper treatment planning and sequential treatment.

CASE DESCRIPTION

James’ teeth showed advanced wear and misalignment of the front 4 teeth. When front teeth are out of line they tend to bump into each other more often.  The teeth can end up with advanced wear. Careful planning can give the illusion of straight teeth with minimal wear.  I call this case restorative orthodontics.  As with all esthetic cases, the planning is as important as the actual treatment.  James’ front four teeth were restored with E-Max veneered restorations from an excellent lab and technician.

CASE DESCRIPTION

Jennifer had old discolored crowns on her two lateral incisors and worn front teeth. This wear was related to the position of Jennifer’s upper teeth relative to her lower teeth. Jennifer understood that if new restorations were placed without addressing the orthodontic issue causing the wear, the new restorations would chip just as the original teeth had chipped. Jennifer saw the benefit of wearing braces. She underwent orthodontic treatment to move her teeth to a better position, and her front four teeth were restored.

CASE DESCRIPTION

Kyle was unhappy with her crooked and worn front teeth. Kyle’s teeth would have benefited from orthodontics; however, Kyle wanted to restore her teeth without braces if possible. The placement of the final crown restorations essentially straightened Kyle’s teeth without braces.

CASE DESCRIPTION

Hal’s teeth had become very worn. Restorations were placed to restore Hal’s youthful smile.

CASE DESCRIPTION

Mark was dissatisfied with a front crown that had been placed many years ago. This tooth appeared much wider and more prominent than the adjacent central incisor. Mark wanted to fix this cosmetic problem without resorting to braces. Mark’s finished case was accomplished by restoring his two front teeth with two crowns.

CASE DESCRIPTION

Gail wanted a makeover for her worn and discolored teeth. Gail’s case involved opening her bite and delivering restorations to increase the display of teeth.
